Why 6ftdrift?

We started this site back in 2001 for a couple of reasons: we wanted to have a personal site but didn't want it covered with pets and pictures, and we thought it would be good to put the buyer's guide online with a board finder.

We maintained the site for two years, then life happened. We finished school and got jobs--yes we work in the snowboarding/action sports industry; it is what we love. So the site rested as an email server until now.

So why have we revived it? Because we thought of some more cool tools to help with researching the best snowboarding gear, and we found some time.

Why should you take our advice? One, we won't recommend crap. Two, we've been snowboarding awhile now, been liftees, snowboard instructors at two resorts, manager of a board shop, and now we work in the industry. Also, no one is paying us to pump their brand [except for the eshops, they pay for the link through]. We look at the site as if it were our own snowboard shop, what brands would we carry with unlimited funds and what do people want to know about snowboarding.
